Francis Thomas O'Neill (30 September 1926 – 10 July 2024) was a prominent Australian swimmer recognized for competing in three events at the 1952 Summer Olympics and participating in the 1950 British Empire Games. He made history as the first Australian to swim 110 yards in less than one minute. O'Neill also had an influence on popular culture while residing on the French Riviera, where he taught famous actresses Ginger Rogers and Greta Garbo how to swim, along with author W. Somerset Maugham, whom he taught diving.
