Francisco Paradela Rodríguez, born on September 3, 1909, in Elviña (A Coruña) and passed away on October 31, 2009, was a Galician bagpiper, also known as Farruco or Paco Paradela. He is regarded as one of the most important interpreters of the Galician bagpipe during the 20th century. Along with Emilio Corral, he became one of the most veteran players in Galicia. He composed classic pieces such as 'Jota de Montrove', 'A Carballesa', and 'Foliada de Elviña', which are now essential in the Galician bagpipe repertoire.
