Francesc Pedrol Pascual was a Catalan fisherman and the last surviving Tarragonian of the Biberó generation, who participated in the Battle of the Ebro during the Spanish Civil War. Born in Tarragona on December 12, 1920, he began fishing at a young age after his father's death. At 17, he was conscripted to fight for the Republican side near the Ebro River, where he served as a litter bearer and later as a rifleman. He was wounded but returned to combat. He passed away at the age of 98 on February 6, 2019.
