Folke Rune Husell, born on October 16, 1945, in Mariehamn, is a Åland Islands lawyer who served as the CEO of Ålandsbanken from 1987 to 2003. He led the legal department from 1977 to 1986 and joined the bank's board in 1979. Under his leadership, Ålandsbanken expanded significantly, opening new branches in mainland Finland and introducing private banking services. During his tenure, the bank successfully navigated the Finnish banking crisis in 1991 without governmental support. He resigned in 2003 due to disagreements with the board.
