Jöns Folke Hedblom (1908-2002) was a Swedish researcher in place names and dialects. He earned his philosophy candidate degree in 1932, followed by further qualifications at Uppsala University, culminating in a doctoral degree in 1945. Hedblom served in various roles at the Dialect and Folklore Archive in Uppsala, culminating as head archivist. He was also a lecturer in Nordic languages at Uppsala University. Throughout his career, he received several honors, including the title of professor in 1971 and became a knight of the Royal Order of the Polar Star in 1965.
