He was a member of the original lineup of the rock band Curved Air, contributing to their distinctive sound. After leaving the band, he played with singer Kiki Dee. Pilkington-Miksa returned to Curved Air in 2008, remaining with them until 2010. His musical career was marked by his involvement in the progressive rock scene in the UK.
