Ferruccio Cableri was an Italian military officer born in Trieste on April 15, 1907. He served in the Royal Navy during World War II and earned several honors, including the Bronze and Silver Medals of Military Valor. He is best remembered as the first fire director of the cruiser Fiume during the Battle of Cape Matapan and as the second-in-command of the battleship Roma, where he tragically died during its sinking on September 9, 1943.
