Fernando Villapol Parapar, born on February 26, 1953, in San Tiso d'Abres, is a contemporary Asturian sculptor, art critic, and museologist. He has spent most of his life in Galicia and currently resides and works in Bretoña, within the Terra Chá region of Lugo. Villapol is the founder of the Muséu Etnográficu-Pedagóxicu Villapol in Bretoña. Although he studied at the School of Applied Arts in Lugo, he considers himself largely self-taught, attributing much of his knowledge to travels and sculptural research in various countries.
