Fedir Kharchenko was a Soviet military participant in World War II, born on September 20, 1923, in Malaya Belozyorka, Zaporizhia region. He served as a komsorg (Komsomol organizer) of the 13th Rifle Regiment of the 2nd Rifle Division of the 59th Army on the Volkhov Front. He achieved the title of Hero of the Soviet Union on May 6, 1965, and held the rank of senior sergeant. Kharchenko died on January 23, 1944, in the Novgorod region, during the war.
