Federico Bigi was a prominent San Marino politician affiliated with the Christian Democratic Party of San Marino (PDCS). Born on March 21, 1920, in Reggio nell’Emilia, he served as San Marino's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1957 to 1972. Additionally, he held the position of President of the National Olympic Committee from 1959 to 1969 and again from 1973 to 1978. He was the first Sammarinese judge at the European Court of Human Rights, serving from 1991 until his death on April 24, 1996.
