Faruq Ahmed Choudhury was a Bangladeshi diplomat born on January 4, 1934, in Karimganj, Bangladesh. He served as the first Chief of Protocol of Bangladesh from 1972, Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1984 to 1986, and High Commissioner to India from 1986 to 1992. He played a significant role in shaping Bangladeshi diplomacy during its early years post-independence. Choudhury passed away on May 17, 2017, in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
