Farid Makari (1947 - August 17, 2022) was a Lebanese engineer and politician. Born in Anfeh, North Lebanon, he studied civil engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. He served as Minister of Information from 1995 to 1996 in Rafik Hariri's government and was elected as a member of the Lebanese Parliament representing the Orthodox community in Koura. Makari was also Vice President of the Lebanese Parliament since 2005 and was notable for his involvement in various parliamentary committees and developmental projects in the region.
