Born on March 9, 1927, in Xinpu, Hsinchu, she began her writing journey in high school, initially using Japanese. After shifting to Mandarin in the 1960s and joining the Li Poetry Society, she increasingly embraced her Hakka roots in the 1980s. Notable works include 'Ghost Festival,' 'PinAn Drama,' 'Paper Man,' and 'Vegetable Garden.' Dupan passed away on March 10, 2016.
