Eyðun Elttør is a Faroese machinist and politician, born on March 23, 1941, in Klaksvík. He served as Minister of Oil and the Environment in both of Anfinn Kallsberg's governments from 1998 to 2004. During his tenure, the authorities explored the potential for oil and gas exploitation in the Faroese continental shelf. However, no viable discoveries have been made to date. He was also the chairman of Sjálvstýrisflokkurin from 2001 to 2003 and stood for election to the Lagting in 2002, 2004, and 2008 without being elected. He is now a retired machinist living in Klaksvík.
