Evison Matafale was a prominent Malawian Rastafarian musician and the founder of the reggae band Black Missionaries. He gained popularity in 2000 following the success of his debut album Kuimba 1 in 1999. Known as 'the prophet', Matafale held a respected position in the Malawian Rastafarian community. His life took a tragic turn when he was diagnosed with tuberculosis and died in police custody at the age of 32 in 2001. He is also remembered for his album Kuyimba 2 released shortly before his death.
