Evelyn Zupke, born Wiehler on February 28, 1962, in Binz, is the first Federal Commissioner for the Victims of the SED Dictatorship in Germany. She was an active civil rights activist in East Germany, participating in the Peace Circle of Weißensee. Zupke played a key role in exposing electoral fraud during the municipal elections on May 7, 1989, contributing to the peaceful revolution in East Germany. She has been serving as the Federal Commissioner for Victims of the SED Dictatorship since June 2021.
