Eugène Manning OCSO was a Dutch Roman Catholic priest, Trappist, abbot, theologian, and religious historian. Born on December 28, 1931, in Breda, he served as the abbot of the Abbey of Notre-Dame d’Oelenberg in Alsace from 1981 until 1987. Manning had a significant impact on his community and contributed to religious scholarship until his passing on December 15, 1995, in Leuven.
