Eugen Ziehmer was a painter and a kapo in the Flossenbürg concentration camp, where he was imprisoned from May 1938 to April 1945. He participated in the Polnische Aktion in September 1941, where he physically abused Polish prisoners, resulting in the deaths of at least two individuals. After World War II, he was tried for war crimes by the American Military Tribunal in Dachau and sentenced to death, which was carried out by hanging in mid-January 1949.
