Etsujirō Takahashi was a prominent Japanese pediatrician born on March 30, 1924, in Nakano, Tokyo. He graduated from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Medicine in 1952 and earned his doctorate in medicine in 1960. Throughout his career, he worked at the University of Tokyo Hospital and served as the head of pediatrics at Aiiku Hospital. He became the director of the Health Guidance Department at the Aiiku Association Comprehensive Mother and Child Health Center in 1980, later taking roles as deputy director of the Aiiku Research Institute before retiring in 1989.
