Ernie Freeman (1922-1977) was an Australian rugby union player known for his role as a forward. Originating from Sydney, he began his career with Drummoyne, debuting in the first-grade in 1941. Freeman represented New South Wales as a lock and later joined the Wallabies for their 1946 tour of New Zealand. His Wallabies debut came in the first Test against the All Blacks, where he replaced the injured Eric Tweedale. He also played as a prop in the Test against NZ Maori.
