Erik Sjödin was a Swedish agronomist and a prominent figure in Swedish sheep farming. Born on December 21, 1918, in Malmberget, he served as a livestock consultant and was a respected author. He was awarded honorary doctor status by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Sjödin was married to Kerstin Gauding and was the father of author Anders-Petter Sjödin and grandfather of former SSU chair Anna Sjödin. He passed away on April 4, 2009, in Boglösa, Enköping Municipality.
