Erik Schjenken is a former Norwegian ambulance driver born on September 9, 1968, in Oslo. He gained media attention during the 2007 ambulance case, which led him to publish a book on the matter in 2009. In 2011, Dagbladet was convicted of defamation against him. Schjenken worked as an ambulance driver at Oslo University Hospital from 1989 to 2014 and has military experience as a UN soldier in Lebanon (1993-1994) and as an ISAF soldier in Afghanistan (2004-2005). He has also been active in local politics with the Oslo Progress Party.
