He was a self-taught artist known for his work as an illustrator, creating caricatures and sports images for various newspapers in northern Sweden. His artistic contributions include watercolor sketches. Landén passed away on January 21, 1986, in Farsta and is buried in the memorial grove at Skogskyrkogården in Stockholm.
