Erik Josefsson is a Swedish civil rights activist who has served as the head of the European office of the Electronic Frontier Foundation in Brussels since 2007. Previously, he held a similar role as the Permanent Representative of the Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure in Brussels from 2000. He successfully campaigned against the introduction of software patents in the EU and has been recognized for his contributions to software development. Josefsson is also a speaker at various conferences and is supported by the Shuttleworth Foundation. He is known for his interest in political music and plays the double bass.
