Erik Jacobsen is a Danish civil servant born on April 24, 1953, in Otterup. He has served as the head of the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Culture. From 2007 to 2013, he was the director of the Royal Danish Theatre. Additionally, he is the chairman of the board at Roskilde University and a member of the Danish Intelligence Services Supervisory Authority. Jacobsen earned his degree in political science from Aarhus University in 1980 and was appointed Commander of the Order of the Dannebrog in 2007.
