Erik Hochstein, born on October 1, 1968, in Düsseldorf, is a retired German swimmer who gained prominence after winning a bronze medal at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul as part of the men's 4x200 meter freestyle relay team. He represented SG Bochum-Wattenscheid and made his debut for the German national team in 1986. Hochstein also won a silver medal at the 1989 European Championships. After his competitive career, he pursued coaching and remains active as a senior swimmer in the Ü40 category.
