Eric McDavid is an American green anarchist and vegan, known for his conspiracy conviction related to planned use of firearms and explosives against corporate and government property. He was found guilty on September 27, 2007, and sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison in May 2008. Officials labeled him as the first person convicted in connection with the Earth Liberation Front (ELF), although his group had not finalized their intentions regarding actions on behalf of ELF. He was released early on procedural grounds in 2015 after serving over nine years.
