Emilia Currás Ponte (October 8, 1927 – March 29, 2020) was a Spanish chemist, documentalist, and information scientist. She was also a philosopher and historian of science, recognized as a pioneer in the study of the philosophical and scientific foundations of Information and Documentation. She is particularly noted for her theory of Informacionismo, contributing significantly to the academic understanding of information science.
