Emili Giménez Garcia was a Spanish photographer and photojournalist born on August 9, 1955, in Yeste, Albacete. He began his photography career early in life, capturing local events in Puigcerdà and other Cerdanya towns. From 1999 to 2007, he served as deputy mayor and cultural councilor in Puigcerdà. In 2008, he became the head of press for the town council. His extensive photographic collection, with over 270,000 documents, is preserved at the Comarcal Archive of Cerdanya, reflecting life in the region from the late 20th century to the early 21st century. He passed away on June 2, 2020.
