Else Brag-Carleson was a Swedish artist and children’s book author, born on June 17, 1903, in Munich, and died in 1999. She was the daughter of architect Carl Gustaf Albin Brag and Hilda Wahlström. Brag-Carleson studied art in Copenhagen and Paris, participated in exhibitions at Liljevalchs art hall, as well as in Florence and Amsterdam. Notably, she illustrated a 1946 edition of the Brothers Grimm's fairy tales and created public artworks including wall paintings at Tandlægerhøjskolen in Copenhagen and S:t Görans Hospital in Stockholm.
