Elmo Serejo Farias was a Brazilian politician, born on April 7, 1928, in São Luís. He served as the governor of the Federal District appointed by President Ernesto Geisel. His notable contributions include significant infrastructure developments such as the Costa e Silva Bridge (now known as Honestino Guimarães Bridge) and several viaducts and road improvements in the region. In 1977, he received the Grand Cross of the Order of Infante D. Henrique from Portugal. He passed away on October 14, 1994.
