She is most famous for her lyrics for the musical 'Grind,' which earned her a Tony Award nomination in 1985. Fitzhugh also contributed to other musicals such as 'Herringbone,' 'Paper Moon,' and 'Los Otros,' and wrote lyrics for films like 'The Great Mouse Detective' and 'The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue.'
