He was famous as the founder and keyboardist of the band Ornatos Violeta, established in 1991 alongside notable members like Manel Cruz and Nuno Prata. After the band went inactive, he joined Per7ume until leaving in August 2008. Before his untimely death at the age of 48 on May 28, 2023, he formed the artistic collective Gato Morto, collaborating with various musicians.
