Elisabeth Sønstevold is a Norwegian harpist born on September 7, 1942, in Stockholm. She has been a member of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra since 1967, where she plays a Lyon & Healy harp. Initially trained in piano, she switched to harp at age 11. Sønstevold studied in Vienna and furthered her education in London. She has performed with various ensembles and premiered her father's concert for harp and oboe. After retiring in 2007, she focuses on freelance chamber music and holds a position on the board of the classical music listening association.
