Elisabeth Kjørsvik Aasen is a Norwegian lecturer, non-fiction author, and translator born on August 24, 1935. She became a government scholar in 1992 and has dedicated her career to writing biographies of historical women, especially female pioneers in literature, art, and science. In 2016, she received the Brage Prize's honorary award for her work over the past 40 years to highlight women forgotten by literary history. She has researched and written about neglected female authors in Norwegian literary history and has been active in several women's organizations.
