Born on September 23, 1914, in the Cotyn region of Bessarabia, he moved to Tel Aviv, where he passed away in 2000. Throughout his life, he made significant contributions to Yiddish literature and education in the Soviet Union and Israel, bridging cultural divides through his scholarly work.
