Eliezer Kagan (April 3, 1914 – November 6, 2000) was an Israeli poet, translator, literary researcher, and educator. He served as a school principal and was a professor in the Hebrew literature department at the University of Haifa. Kagan focused on metrics and rhyme in Hebrew poetry as well as on Enlightenment literature. He was awarded the Tchernichovsky Prize for Literary Translation in 1981 for his translation of the Persian epic 'Shahnameh' ('Book of Kings').
