Ēlias Lagios was a Greek poet born in Arta on July 5, 1958, and passed away in Athens on October 5, 2005. Although he was born in Arta, he grew up in Nafplio. He studied at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Athens and lived in Athens. He was involved in editing publications and collaborated with literary magazines and newspapers, including Nea Estia and Avgi. Along with George Koropoulis, he published the literary magazine Olin and translated poems by Saint-John Perse and others.
