Elgi Reemets was an Estonian applied artist born on May 11, 1910, in Tallinn. She graduated in ceramics from the Tallinn State Institute of Applied Art in 1949. In addition to ceramics, Reemets practiced leatherwork, metal art, and textile art. She worked at the Art Products Combine from 1950 to 1968, where she designed leather goods. Reemets passed away on October 21, 1987, and was buried at the Tallinn Forest Cemetery.
