Elfyn Pritchard, born on April 28, 1932, is a Welsh author from Y Sarnau, near Y Bala. He has had a distinguished career as a primary school headteacher, lecturer, and editor. Pritchard served as the Chair of the Children's Panel of the Arts Council and the Reading Books Panel for CBAC. He was also involved in the Eisteddfod, serving as Chair for the Eisteddfod Urdd Meirionnydd in 1994 and as Vice Chair for the National Eisteddfod in 1997. He has been the editor of 'Allwedd y Tannau' for 17 years.
