Eldrid Margrete Straume (1929 – 29 December 2014) was a prominent Norwegian archaeologist known for her significant contributions to the archaeology of Norway. She graduated from the University of Bergen in 1956 and furthered her education in Germany for two years. In 1964, she became a lecturer at the University of Oslo and earned her doctorate in 1984. She held professorships at the University of Bergen and returned to the University of Oslo, enriching the academic community with her expertise.
