Ekrem Zeki Ün was a Turkish composer, conductor, and violin instructor. Born on November 23, 1910, in Istanbul, he was the son of Osman Zeki Üngör, the composer of the Turkish National Anthem. Despite sharing a period with the Turkish Five, he developed an independent identity as a composer. His notable works include 'Yunus'un Mezarında' for piano and flute. He served as one of the conductors and lead violinists of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra and was married to pianist Verda Ün.
