Eizan Naruse was a renowned Japanese calligrapher born on March 1, 1920, in Shibuya, Tokyo. His real name was Eizō. Throughout his career, he held notable positions such as an advisor at the Japan Exhibition, consultant for the Yomiuri Calligraphy Association, and the highest advisor of the Kenshin Calligraphy Society. He also served as an advisor for the All-Japan Calligraphy Federation and was a representative of the Makisha Bunka Association. Naruse exhibited works at the 20 Contemporary Calligraphers Exhibition and was a visiting professor at Shotoku University.
