Eibō Nichi was a Japanese haiku poet, born on July 8, 1910, in Kōchi City, Kōchi Prefecture. His real name was Kazumi Kitāo. He is notably remembered as a victim of the new haiku suppression incident, which marked a significant event in the history of Japanese poetry. Despite the hardships, his contributions to the world of haiku continue to be recognized and appreciated.
