Ottar Egil Toreng (1922–2015) was a Norwegian newspaper editor and politician. He began his journalism career at Glåmdalen during World War II, becoming sub-editor in 1954 and editor-in-chief from 1968 to 1986. Toreng served in the Norwegian Labour Party, was a municipal council member, and held various leadership roles in media organizations. He contributed to the history of Kongsvinger IL and was a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway. His achievements in journalism and politics were significant until his death in 2015.
