Egil Husby (1913–2007) was a Norwegian author and former lecturer at Atlanten high school and Raufoss. He obtained his degree in linguistic-historical studies from the University of Oslo in 1943. As a retiree, he wrote books on the history of Nordmøre Sparebank, Grand Hotel in Kristiansund, and part of Kristiansund’s history. Husby received various awards, including the King's Medal of Merit in gold and silver, as well as the culture prize from Kristiansund Municipality, recognizing his historical contributions.
