Edwin van Gelder is a Dutch graphic designer and art director, born on January 21, 1978, in Nijmegen. He graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2004, and in 2005, he founded the graphic design studio Mainstudio. Known for his typographically driven designs, he focuses on book and identity creations for clients in architecture, contemporary art, and fashion. He practices Systemic Design, conveying the content and voice of a book or identity through his designs. Van Gelder also serves as a guest lecturer at the Academy of Architecture Amsterdam.
