Edwin Jongejans is a former Dutch diver born on December 18, 1966, in Amstelveen. He specialized in artistic diving from the 1-meter and 3-meter springs and has achieved significant success, including being World and European Champion from the 1-meter springboard. Jongejans competed in two Olympic Games, finishing eighth in 1988 and seventh in 1992. His major achievements also include winning gold at the European Championships in 1989 and 1995, and a bronze medal in 1991. He is regarded as the most successful Dutch diver in European Championships and the only one to win a World Championship medal.
