Edward Cieśla, alias 'Zabawa', was a Polish soldier born on February 22, 1923, in Studzian. He served as the deputy chief of propaganda for the Przeworsk District of the Home Army (AK) and participated in various military operations, including sabotage and liquidation units. Cieśla was also a courier for the military authorities of the Polish Government in Exile. He was sentenced to death and executed by the Stalinist regime in Poland on August 9, 1952.
