Edward Charles Cardon, born on November 16, 1960, in El Paso County, Texas, is a retired lieutenant general in the United States Army. He commanded the 2nd Infantry Division and the 2nd Army. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Cardon progressed through all officer ranks from lieutenant to three-star general, serving in various commands and deployments, including Iraq and Bosnia. He was also involved in logistical operations and army reform while holding significant leadership positions in the military until his retirement in 2018.
